TajSATS Air Catering Limited is India's largest airline (in-flight) catering company, a joint venture between Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL, the Taj/Tata hospitality arm) and Singapore's SATS Limited, founded in 1976. It holds roughly a 60% share of the Indian airline-catering market, serving 150,000+ passengers across ~240 flights daily and working with 40+ domestic and international carriers. It runs ~10-11 aviation kitchens across India (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Goa, Amritsar) and is expanding (Noida/Jewar, Navi Mumbai, Gurgaon, micro-kitchens in South India). Its flagship Mumbai facility (~12,700 sq m, ~1,500 staff) produces ~50,000 meals/day using ~4 tonnes of raw material. The business is ~85% aviation; it is diversifying into institutional and non-aviation catering (brands ANUKA, Nekta/Qmin, home delivery). FY25 revenue ~Rs 1,050 crore (~USD 125M). The work is high-volume, hygiene-critical, food-safety-driven hand work; meals are hand-portioned and trays hand-assembled to tight time windows.
